Taekwondo

Taekwondo is an ancient Korean fighting practice. Roughly translated Taekwondo means "the art of kicking and punching". What distinguishes this martial art from others is its emphasis on powerful kicking techniques. In 1994, Taekwondo became accepted as a full medal sport for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. Taekwondo is synonymous with discipline, self defence, spiritual growth, and moral development.
