Calgary is home to the Calgary Grizzlies and the Calgary Rollers Wheelchair Basketball Societies (Teams). Calgary Speed Skating AssociationThe Calgary Speed Skating Association is a non for profit organization that has been in operation since 1975. We train more than 200 skating members ranging from the Active Start stage (age 3) to the Active 4 Life stage (seniors). We provide skating programs for both the long track and short track disciplines, taking advantage of the best facility in the world, the Olympic Oval, where we are privileged to skate alongside Olympic Champions. The Club strives to provide a balance between competitive and recreational skating within the Long Term Athlete Development framework. We promote good sportsmanship within a harmonious team environment. Our skaters, including a strong recreational component, are coached by paid coaches, most of whom are NCCP certified and many of whom are former national team members.

Hiro's Judo ClubWelcome to Hiro's Judo Club. Our club was established in 1957 by Hiro Kanashiro and it is the oldest continuously operating martial arts club in Calgary. South Calgary Ringette AssociationRingette is not hockey for girls. Ringette has different rules, different equipment, different skills and altogether a different game.
It focuses on building strong, fit and confident girls, it can be played from anyone as young as 5 years old and any physical age ranging to 95. Ringette helps children learn to skate and become skilled athletes, as well it is designed to maximize participation and is a true team sport. It is a non-contact sport with full protective equipment and allows you to play recreationally or competitively. The sport of Ringette allows you to play locally, provincially, nationally and even internationally.

Special Olympics CalgaryWe are a non profit organization that provides weekly sport programs to individuals with an intellectual disability aged 2 and up. We will be offering a variety of stations to give you a taste of the sport programs that we offer throughout the year. Some of the sports you will get to experience are bowling, floor curling, basketball, floor hockey, athletics (track and field), golf and an obstacle course. Because of our variety of ages in our yearly programs, we use a process called divisioning so individuals compete with other individuals of similar ability. We have three young athletes programs, Active Start (age 2-5) and FUNdamentals (age 6-8), and currently expanding our youth league (age 8-18). All of our specific sport programs are for individuals 8 and older. We offer programs for all levels of ability from recreational and socialization to competitive opportunities. Our goal is to provide an active lifestyle and social involvement for individuals with an intellectual disability in the Calgary area.
